Join us for our Wednesday adult art classes designed and led by professional artist Taelor Fisher.

Landscape Painting from Personal Photographs

Explore acrylic painting techniques of famous painter and landscape artist, Fairfield Porter. We will use personal photographs from vacations, family homes, or any other landscape with meaning, to inspire composition and color palette. Students will leave this workshop with a final painting on a panel to enjoy in their home.

Geometric Painting with Intermediate Color Mixing

This course is for those interested in mixing colors beyond the paint tube. We will do a deep dive into intermediate color theory, while also looking at the work of Josef Albers and a few other artists whose work is deeply inspired by the interaction of color. The course will culminate in the creation of two geometric color theory paintings on paper.

Ink Painting Techniques in
Traditional & Non-Traditional Styles

Explore new ways to paint in this course focused on traditional and non-traditional inks. We will work with everything from India ink and coffee to homemade inks made from blueberries and beets! Students will leave with knowledge of a new painting technique, as well as a potentially fun and new ink making skill to share with family and friends.

Abstract Paper Weaving

We will take paper ephemera from your personal life into a patterned and colorful weaving that you can keep or gift to a loved one. Students are encouraged to bring anything from letters and children’s artwork, to photos and scrap papers.
