Kid Art teams with Meadows for Workshops

Drop your child off for an afternoon of looking, talking, and making in the Meadows Museum. Children will explore original works of art in the galleries and then make their own masterpiece in the museum's studio. Making in the Museum is taught by Kid Art Dallas teachers and Meadows Museum educators.

February 2: Love for Your Lovie

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and no child should forget a give a little extra love to their favorite stuffed doll. After exploring fashion in Meadows Museum’s paintings, children will make and embellish a cape or skirt for their favorite 15” to 18” stuffed doll as a token of their affection.

March 1: Springtime Scenes 

It’s spring and the world is blooming. Children will explore the vibrant colors of the season in the Meadows Museum galleries and then use watercolor to create their own springtime scene in the Studio.

April 5: Sensational Sculpture

Let’s get three-dimensional!  Children will discover sculptures on view at the Meadows Museum and then build their own sculpture in the Studio using aluminum foil, plaster gauze, and paint.

 

​



$45 per session; $30 for museum members. Price includes the cost of admission.

Each session is limited to 12 children, ages 5–12.
